FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Registration is open for the Kentucky Century Challenge, the four-ride cycling event that begins April 11.

The challenge gets started with the Redbud Ride in London April 11 through 13. Next is the Horsey Hundred in Georgetown May 23 to 25 and the Preservation Pedal in Winchester June 21. A new ride this year is the Hub City Tour in Elizabethtown on Sept. 13.

The Kentucky Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet says each event offers a 100-mile option. To complete the challenge, riders must finish any three of the four rides, and successful participants will qualify for a special edition jersey.

Registration is free and will be available through April 4 at https://www.kentuckytourism.com/outdoor-adventure/centurychallenge.aspx .
