BOSTON (AP) - Military veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan and their families are getting a chance to skate at Boston Common’s Frog Pond.

The free skate Monday us being hosted by the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program, as well as the city of Boston Veterans Services Department.

Mayor Martin Walsh will welcome the veterans and families.



The skate is designed to help military families from Massachusetts come together, enjoy the outdoors, and learn more about support services available through the Home Base Program and the Veterans Services Department.
