PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A Wilsonville woman freed herself from a tree that crashed through her roof and briefly trapped her on her bed.
Gusty weather has blown through the Oregon coast and Willamette Valley.
KGW-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1f6EZgK) the tree split and fell on the woman’s home early Monday. She freed herself and drove to the hospital.
Edward Laskaris of Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue says it’s “amazing” the woman escaped without major injuries.
The agency did not release the woman’s name.
A neighboring house had roof and siding damage when it was clipped by the falling tree.
