RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas Tech University’s Tyler Friedel and Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Sarina Sayama have been named the Great American Conference men’s and women’s Player of the Week.
Friedel is the men’s Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 35 points in a win over Ouachita Baptist and hitting a game-winning 3-point shot in a win over Henderson State in two games last week.
Sayama is the women’s Player of the Week after averaging 26.5 points per game in last week’s wins over East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma State and setting a GAC record with nine 3-pointers in the win over Southeastern.
