ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Albany are investigating two shootings, one of them fatal, that occurred an hour-and-a-half apart.
Albany police say in a news release that 30-year-old Jahmel Forbes of Albany was shot on South Pearl Street around 3:40 a.m. Sunday. He was treated at the scene by emergency personnel and taken to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Earlier, a 20-year-old Albany man and a 16-year-old girl from Scotia were shot on Lexington Avenue. Police say they were treated by medics at the scene and admitted to Albany Medical Center in stable condition. Their names haven’t been released.
