GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - An orthopedic physician from Pass Christian has been charged in a five-count felony indictment alleging income tax evasion and obstruction of the due administration of internal revenue laws.
U.S. Attorney Gregory Davis and IRS Criminal Investigation Special Agent in Charge Gabriel Grchan (Ger-shin) announced the arrest of 49-year-old Timothy Dale Jackson in a news release Friday.
The release says Jackson appeared on Thursday before U.S. Magistrate Judge John M. Roper in Gulfport for his initial appearance and was released on a $700,000 bond.
His arraignment is set for Tuesday.
The court website did not list an attorney on Friday.
He did not immediately respond to a message at his office on Friday.
