POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - A rash of car thefts in the eastern Idaho city of Pocatello has prompted police to warn residents not to leave their vehicles unlocked and unattended while warming them up.

Police tell the Idaho State Journal (https://bit.ly/1cJDqzC) that officers in the last week have responded to two to three vehicle theft reports each night.

Authorities say vehicles should never be started to warm up and then left unlocked.
