POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - An eastern Idaho man police say hosted parties for high school-aged students and gave them prescription methadone pills has been taken into custody.

The Idaho State Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1cJEQdk) that 27-year-old Alexander Casquiera of Pocatello was arrested Thursday.

He’s being held at the Bannock County jail on suspicion of delivery of a controlled substance and injury to a child, both felonies.

Pocatello police say they started investigating after a juvenile on Thursday was admitted to the Portneuf Medical Center after consuming a controlled substance.

Police say they discovered that Casquiera has been hosting the parties for eight months at his home and providing methadone.
