KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A pedestrian walking along Interstate 40 near the entrance ramp of Interstate 140 in Knoxville has died after being struck by a tractor-trailer.
The Knoxville Police Department told WVLT-TV that the driver was interviewed Friday night and released at the scene with no charges filed.
Officers told the Knoxville News Sentinel the collision happened at about 11 p.m. EST and that the name of the deceased hasn’t been released.
Tennessee Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation.
