PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Winter weather led to a pair of water issues in Oregon this week.

In McMinnville, the News-Review reports (https://bit.ly/1b7ghMb ) a landfill seeped untreated water for more than 12 hours before the Riverbend Landfill contained the seepage.

Spokeswoman Jackie Lang says the landfill informed the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, which conducted an on-site inspection Thursday.

In Myrtle Point, The World newspaper reports (https://bit.ly/1b7guyU ) a waste water plant was inundated by a surge of storm water that overwhelmed the sewage collection system.

Waste water was bypassed to the Coquille River.

The newspaper reports the bypass will continue until the rainfall subsides.
