BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - State officials say hunter education classes are filling up and they urge interested residents to enroll as soon as possible.
Officials with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department say most classes are held by the end of May. They say people can register online or by phone.
Residents can also sign up online to get text or email alerts about recently scheduled classes. The department’s website allows people to sort classes by city and date.
Under North Dakota law, anyone born after Dec. 31, 1961, must pass a certified hunter education course. Officials say hunter education is mandatory for children who are turning 12 years old. Children can take the class at age 11.
