TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Tempe have identified a man killed in an accident involving two vehicles and a pedestrian.
Sgt. Michael Pooley says 59-year-old James David Proper, of Kingman, was fatally injured Friday shortly before 9 p.m. near the intersection of Baseline Road and Darrow Drive.
Pooley did not say whether Proper was the pedestrian or a passenger in one of the vehicles.
He says impairment doesn’t appear to be a factor in the accident, which resulted in some temporary street closures.
