LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a high-speed car crashed into a bridge pier in Las Vegas early Saturday morning, killing two female passengers.

The victims were identified as 20-year-old Joann Zermeno and 21-year-old Briana Medina, both of Las Vegas.

Police say the car, driven by 21-year-old Bronik Sardaryan of Las Vegas, was traveling fast when he lost control on Ogden Avenue and struck the bridge pier.



He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

One of the passengers was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was pronounced dead after arrival at the hospital.

The 12:49 a.m. accident is under investigation.
