ARLINGTON, Wash. (AP) - Human remains found under a concrete slab on property in Arlington may be a man who disappeared a decade ago, the Snohomish County sheriff’s office said.

Detectives served a search warrant Thursday, dug up the remains and arrested a 48-year-old woman believed to be the missing man’s ex-wife. She was booked into the Snohomish County Jail in Everett for investigation of second-degree murder.

The identification of the remains and the cause of death is up to the Snohomish County medical examiner’s office.

Investigators believe she stabbed him after he left her for a younger woman. She reportedly told his family, friends and bosses at Boeing that he had run off with his girlfriend.

Several men recently came forward and told police they helped move the body, according to an arrest document, The Daily Herald reported Friday (https://bit.ly/1hjqGau ).

Boeing reported the man stopped showing up in September 2004 after working for the company for more than 20 years.

Detectives also discovered what appears to be a chop shop on the property. They recovered a stolen pickup truck, the sheriff’s office said.
