MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) - Police say a man’s body was found Thursday evening in an abandoned trailer on Old Marion Road in Meridian.
Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler tells The Meridian Star (https://bit.ly/1ouFK5I ) the body was that of a black man between 30 and 40 years of age.
The body was found about 5 p.m. Cobler says he had been dead for up to two days.
Meridian Police Lt. John Griffith says investigators are treating the case as a homicide. He says the trailer where the body was found apparently had not been lived-in for years.
Cause of death was not available.
