BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Two Mexican nationals have reached plea agreements after a drug task force raided a marijuana growing operation in the Boise National Forest.
The U.S. attorney’s office says 32-year-old Marcos Solano-Farias and 20-year-old Jose Misael Ayala-Talvera pleaded guilty Thursday to unlawful manufacture with intent to distribute more than 1,000 marijuana plants, illegal possession of a firearm and damage to government property.
The men were among six people indicted after law enforcement officers raided two marijuana growing operations. One raid netted 1,411 plants while officers destroyed 5,463 plans at a nearby growing operation. Prosecutors say several weapons and harvested marijuana were seized from a camp where the two men were arrested.
Sentencing is set for May 14 before U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill.
