JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - A 25-year-old New York woman has died in a fire in her apartment that investigators say was caused by unattended cooking.

The fire in the western New York city of Jamestown was reported around 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say it originated in the kitchen of the victim’s apartment, one of four units in the building.



The woman’s name hasn’t been released.
