MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities say a teen is facing charges after he brought a gun to his high school in Memphis.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says the 16-year-old boy, who has not been named, was located by deputies on the Fairley High School campus Tuesday.

Deputies say they found an unloaded .22-caliber revolver in his backpack, along with .22-caliber ammunition.

The teen was transported to Juvenile Court and was charged with carrying a weapon on school property.
