EASTON, Pa. (AP) - An eastern Pennsylvania man will spend 20 to 40 years in prison for killing a 28-year-old woman who was found shot to death inside a pickup truck parked in an Easton alley.

The Express-Times (https://bit.ly/LV6oFl) said 20-year-old Kahmir DeLapara was sentenced immediately after pleading guilty Wednesday to killing 28-year-old Amanda Stratford of Nanticoke back in September.

DeLapara apologized to the victim’s family in Northampton County Court as well as his own parents.

Stratford’s mother said her daughter was a good person and didn’t deserve to die that way, no matter what she had done in her past. Police had said the victim was a fixture in the regional drug trade.
