GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) - Police in the southern Oregon city of Grants Pass say a father and son accused of breaking into another man’s house and attacking him with a chainsaw and an ax handle have been arrested.
Police say the two went to a third man’s home late Tuesday night after the son argued with the man earlier in the day.
The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/OzmW6E ) the older man cut through the home’s front door with a chainsaw. The resident told police he ran to another room and locked the door but the chainsaw was used to cut through that as well. Police say Kyle Kennard suffered multiple cuts and abrasions in the attack. He was treated by medics.
Police on Wednesday arrested 53-year-old Craig F. Hindle Sr. and 27-year-old Craig F. Hindle Jr. They were booked into jail for investigation of first-degree burglary and second-degree assault.
