HARRINGTON, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office says a person was found dead inside a burning Kent County home.
Officials say firefighters were called to the home on Vernon Road west of Harrington early Wednesday morning and found the house engulfed in flames. Once the fire was extinguished, officials say firefighters found one person dead inside the home.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
State fire investigators are on the scene searching for the origin and cause of the fire.
