SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Indiana conservation officers say a man who was hospitalized after being pulled from a northern Indiana river has been taken off life support.
They say 57-year-old Stephen Rodick of South Bend died Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say several calls from the public helped investigators identify Rodick after South Bend firefighters pulled him from the St. Joseph River on Monday evening.
David Jaramillo told the South Bend Tribune he was driving on a bridge just north of South Bend when he saw the man fall or jump off the bridge and he called 911.
Police asked for the public’s help in identifying Rodick because he didn’t have any identification on him after he was rescued.
