ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - A 21-year-old Washtenaw County man has been charged in the slaying of a University of Michigan medical student.
The Ann Arbor News reports that Dajeon Franklin of Pittsfield Township was arraigned Tuesday on murder and home invasion charges.
Franklin is the third man charged in the July 23 death of 25-year-old Paul DeWolf in his off-campus medical fraternity house in Ann Arbor. DeWolf’s body was found the next day.
A video game system was taken and sold for $80.
Two South Carolina men also are charged in the slaying. Shaquille Jones has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Joie Jordan is charged with open murder and faces trial in May.
Franklin will be assigned a public defender. He was ordered held without bond Tuesday. A Feb. 20 preliminary examination is scheduled.
