WASHINGTON (AP) - Metro officials and D.C. police say a passenger pepper-sprayed a Metrobus driver in southeast Washington.

Police say the woman wearing a dark coat and hair curlers sprayed the driver on Monday afternoon, then escaped at a bus stop at Stanton and Elvans roads.

The 48-year-old driver was treated at the scene, but police say no passengers were injured.

Metro Transit police say investigators are reviewing surveillance video as part of the investigation.
