VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - A judge has ordered a mental evaluation for the woman accused of shooting a former co-worker in his office at the Veteran Affairs campus in Vancouver.
Clark County Superior Court Judge John Nichols said Tuesday that Deborah A. Lennon has a history of erratic behavior and may not be competent for trial.
The Columbian reports (https://bit.ly/1bSTHFh ) he’ll review a hospital evaluation at a March 13 hearing.
The 46-year-old Lennon is charged with attempted murder in the Feb. 4 shooting of 45-year-old Allen Bricker, a financial officer for the VA Northwest Health Network. Lennon had worked as an auditor in his office until leaving about two years ago.
Bricker sought a protection order against her last year, alleging she was stalking him with daily emails pursuing an unwanted romantic relationship.
