Death of missing Georgia woman ruled homicide

OAKWOOD, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in Hall County say the death of a missing woman whose body was found near her house has been ruled a homicide.

Sheriff’s deputy Nicole Bailes has said the body of 32-year-old Holly Strickland was found Saturday by a relative in a wooded area near her home in Oakwood - about 50 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.

Investigators initially said foul play wasn’t suspected in the woman’s death, and details on how the woman was killed weren’t immediately available.
