3 small earthquakes reported in Oklahoma

LANGSTON, Okla. (AP) - The U.S. Geological Survey says three small earthquakes have been recorded in Oklahoma.

The USGS says a 3.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 2:49 a.m. Tuesday about 10 miles north of Langston. Later Tuesday morning, a 2.5-magnitude earthquake was recorded about 40 miles north of Enid.

Earlier, a 2.8-magnitude earthquake was reported Monday night near Medford.

Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are general the smallest that are felt by humans.
