GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a man shot a security guard to death after he was kicked out of a Greenville gentlemen’s club.

Greenville County Sheriff’s Deputy Drew Pinciaro says 31-year-old Jose Luis Aceveno-Lopez was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder.

Authorities say Lopez was being escorted to his car by a security guard at around 2 a.m. Tuesday after he was kicked out of Platinum Plus. Deputies say Lopez lunged at 26-year-old Charles Adam Timmons and shot him.

Other security guards detained Lopez until deputies arrived, and Pinciaro says officers used a stun gun to subdue him.

Timmons died at a hospital at around 3:45 a.m. Lopez was jailed without bond, and it wasn’t known if he had an attorney.
