LOS ANGELES - Julie Roberts’ half-sister was found dead Sunday in the bathtub of a Westside home, and law enforcement sources said there is no evidence of foul play.
Los Angeles County coroner’s officials cautioned that they have not determined the cause of Nancy Motes’ death. But law enforcement sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said some type of drug overdose might have been involved.
Motes, a younger half-sister of the Oscar-winning actress, was found by a friend at a home on North Bundy Drive about 2 p.m. Sunday, according to police.
An autopsy was conducted Monday, but a final determination of cause of death may take several weeks while toxicology results are gathered. Prescription and nonprescription medications were taken as evidence, sources said.
