DALLAS (AP) - Light snow and freezing fog and drizzle are laying down an icy sheen on highways in North Texas and the West Texas Rolling Plains.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Edward’s Plateau and Rolling Plains of West Texas and a freezing rain advisory for North and Central Texas. Both advisories are effective through 6 p.m. Tuesday.
As of Monday night, snow and ice was accumulating on roads extending from San Angelo to Abilene to Wichita Falls and from Midland-Odessa to Weatherford.
Forecasters also have issued a winter weather advisory for East Texas through 6 a.m. Wednesday.
