TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - More than a dozen people have been displaced after a fire at a Tampa apartment complex.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was alerted to the blaze Saturday at about 3 a.m.
Firefighters found heavy flames billowing through the roof. A team went through the building searching for residents. All were safely evacuated.
The Red Cross and Office of Emergency Management are helping assist residents with food, shelter and clothing.
Investigators have determined the fire started in an attic space. The cause remains under investigation.
