NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - More winter weather is headed to Oklahoma.

The National Weather Service says three waves of cold weather will sweep across the state over the next week.

The first will enter the state late Saturday and bring a chance of sleet and freezing rain to southwestern Oklahoma. Rain and freezing rain is forecast for eastern Oklahoma. Snow is possible in the southeastern corner of the state.



The second wave will hit the state late Monday and Tuesday, bringing snow to northern Oklahoma and rain to the southeast. Temperatures will be frigid and Wednesday is forecast to be one of the coldest days of the season with lows in the teens and single digits.

A final cold wave will enter the state on Thursday or Friday, bringing a new chance of snow.
