Abandoned house burns in Natchez

NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - Natchez firefighters say an abandoned house that burned Thursday night was a total loss.

Units of the Natchez Fire Department and the Lake Montrose Volunteer Fire Department were called to the house on Lincoln Heights Road.

Natchez Fire Chief Oliver Stewart tells The Natchez Democrat (https://bit.ly/19vV4u9 ) that the fire was reported at about 11 p.m.

Stewart says no one was inside the house and no firefighters were injured.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
