It’s an executive order that puts President Obama in the role of Santa.

The president decreed Friday that federal employees will get a day off on Friday, Dec. 26, the day after Christmas. Mr. Obama issued an order closing “all executive branch departments and agencies of the federal government” unless department heads decide that certain offices should remain open.

The president’s schedule for Saturday has no public events.
