Christine Cavanaugh, the famed voice actress who played Babe the pig and Dexter from “Dexter’s Laboratory,” has died at age 51, TMZ reports.

Ms. Cavanaugh died Dec. 22. The details surrounding her death are unclear.

The actress retired in 2001 after providing iconic voices for Chuckie the red-headed baby from “Rugrats,” as well as characters from “Darkwing Duck,” “Aladdin,” “The Critic,” “The Powerpuff Girls” and “The Wild Thornberrys.”



Ms. Cavanaugh also made onscreen appearances in “Everybody Loves Raymond,” “ER,” “Salute Your Shorts” and “Jerry Maguire,” among others.

She had no biological children but was the godmother to the child of one of her close friends, TMZ reported.
