FROSTBURG, Md. (AP) — The city of Frostburg is getting some federal funds to help create a roadmap for economic growth in western Maryland.
U.S. Sens. Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin said Wednesday that the $70,000 grant comes from the Commerce Department’s Economic Development Administration.
They say the federal funds will help public officials and business leaders create a plan for private investment and job creation in Allegany, Garrett and Washington counties.
The Economic Development Administration works to promote economic growth in distressed areas.
