QUINCY, Ill. (AP) - A new display about the Vietnam War will be added to a war museum in western Illinois.
The All Wars Museum is located on the campus of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy. Museum curator Bob Craig tells The Quincy Herald-Whig (https://bit.ly/1pIeeFy ) the new display will include a three-dimensional model of the infamous Viet Cong tunnel system of Cu Chi.
The museum is scheduled to be closed for renovations from Dec. 7 through the end of February. Craig says new display cases and a new mural about the Civil War are among the planned improvements.
The museum has acquired a World War II Sherman tank that will be added to its collection of thousands of items from the Revolutionary War through the war on terror.
