Outgoing Texas Gov. Rick Perry told graduates of Texas A&M Thursday evening that he’s going to be in the same situation as them in the next 30 days: competing for a job.
Mr. Perry joked that he’s prepared a resume for the job hunt by listing his objective as “a position as chief executive of a large enterprise with good benefits and a really large personal jet.”
The possible 2016 GOP presidential contender said he has experience “managing the world’s 13th largest economy and overseeing a group of people who bicker a lot, otherwise known as legislators and listed skills: “experienced public speaker, well-worn veto pen, proficient in Facebook and Twitter, and frequent poster of hashtags and selfies,” the Houston Chronicle reported.
“I put this next part in bold print — I said, ’am willing to travel for my job’ and listed my preferred destinations: Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina,” Mr. Perry said.
