Obamacare ads will appear at the bottom of 7-Eleven receipts until the end of the open enrollment period, as the government continues efforts to reach uninsured Americans.
The Department of Health and Human Services is partnering with the electronic payment system PayNearMe, which is marketed to people who do not have bank accounts, The Washington Post reported.
Obamacare ads will appear on PayNearMe receipts printed at all 7,800 7-Eleven stores in the United States until open enrollment is over.
HHS Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell demonstrated the system Thursday at a 7-Eleven in downtown Washington, D.C., The Post reported.
“Putting these reminders at the bottom of PayNearMe receipts will help get health coverage information into the hands of traditionally hard-to-reach consumers,” HHS wrote in a statement.
