In the first week of November President Obama authorized the sending of an additional 1,500 troops to Iraq, bringing the total number of U.S. military advisers there to roughly 3,000.

In the wake of Monday night’s violence following the grand jury verdict in the Michael Brown shooting, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon announced he was sending an additional 1,500 National Guard troops to Ferguson. This brings the total number of state forces there to 2,200.

All of this leads me to ask, are we at war both abroad and at home? It sure seems like it.
