LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Conditions ripe for GOP to take Senate

OPINION:

President Obama’s immigration mess; the Islamic State’s murderous takeover of parts of Iraq and Syria; Hamas vs. Israel; the Ebola virus now on American soil; the Ferguson, Mo., riots; a mountain of growing U.S. debt; and a disconnected president are all gifts to the Republicans in the run-up to the midterm elections. Also, don’t forget the IRS scandal; the EPA’s war on oil, coal and nuclear energy; and the multitude of other federal government scandals.

Only poor leadership and stupidity will get in the way of a big win for Republicans in November. Unfortunately, the establishment GOP has those attributes in abundance. The U.S. Senate is the Republicans’ to lose in the upcoming elections.
