When President George Washington left office, he warned that the one thing that could destroy the experiment in democracy was political parties.

When Republicans pursue the multitude of the current president’s scandals (impeachable offenses) that threaten our very liberty, it is written off by the media as partisan politics. Those who are not saddled with that claim are Democrats.

If the political left chooses to ignore any of these affronts to our freedom, it is to disrespect and dishonor all who sacrificed everything to allow them to be in a position to act. A question was once so profoundly asked in a similar situation: Have you no shame, sir?

If Americans of all political bents — but most importantly Democrats — do not confront their elected representatives very soon, the question they must ask themselves is: What will I tell my grandchildren when they ask, “Where were you when they were doing this to our country?”
