PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh-area’s public transit agency is encouraging riders to suggest names for a bus-tracking smartphone app.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1rNlegz ) says the app - which tracks buses with global positioning technology - is already in use on eight busy routes. The Port Authority of Allegheny County hopes to have almost all routes included in the app by the end of the year.

But the question remains: What should it be called?

Riders can use this website, paac.mindmixer.com, to suggest names between now and Aug. 31. The Port Authority will consider the suggestions, but isn’t promising anything beyond that at this point.

The process has spawned some interesting suggestions including Bustle, which stands for Bus and T Location Estimator. The ’T’ is the authority’s light-rail system, which won’t be added to the app until next year.
