LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The University of Wyoming has produced a publication that gardeners in the state might find useful.
The publication is titled “Plants with Altitude: Regionally Native Plants for Wyoming Gardens.”
It provides physical descriptions and unique characteristics of more than 50 perennials in addition to water need, sun exposure, native ranges, plant family, and height and width. It also denotes animal resistance and pollinator attraction in the plants.
UW Extension educator Jennifer Thompson says the plants in the publication regionally native plants that are attractive and relatively easy to get a hold of and that have performed well in UW gardens.
Booklets are available at local UW Extension, conservation district, and weed and pest control district offices.
