BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - A Bowling Green man charged with three bank robberies won’t go on trial in May as scheduled.
The Daily News reported (https://bit.ly/1oJH4o5 ) that a judge delayed the cases until June 3 for 48-year-old Steven Paul Harston while DNA testing of evidence is completed.
Harston is charged in five separate indictments with a total of three counts of first-degree robbery, three counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun and one count of first-degree persistent felony offender.
The cases had been set to go to trial May 6.
Harston was arrested Jan. 9, 2013, and has been implicated by police in robberies that took place at three separate banks within seven months.
