Suspicious fire at Juneau church investigated

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Fire authorities in Juneau are investigating a suspicious fire at a church.

KINY (https://is.gd/sKl6EF) says the fire at the pulpit of Chapel by the Lake was discovered Tuesday morning.

Security guards reported the blaze after smoke was found in the sanctuary. By the time the guards found the smoke, the fire was out.

The fire marshal is investigating the fire, which caused an estimated $3000 to $5000 in damage.
