BREINIGSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities in a northeastern Pennsylvania community say they had a real cliffhanger on their hands.
Police in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, said a man who fled from officers had to be rescued after being found dangling from a tree along a quarry cliff.
At around 11 a.m. Wednesday, police pulled over 37-year-old Johnson Rivera-Dejesus of Freemansburg for what they say was a minor traffic violation.
Police said the man got out of his car and ran away. They said they eventually found him hanging from a tree on the wall of a quarry.
Emergency crews had to be called in to rescue the man.
Rivera-Dejesus was taken into custody and is facing disorderly conduct and other charges. It couldn’t immediately be determined if he had an attorney.
