JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Police in Jackson say a woman has been arrested in the shooting death of her live-in boyfriend.

Investigators tell The Clarion-Ledger (https://on.thec-l.com/1n4WUoB ) that 32-year-old Aaron Harper died after being shot at least six times Tuesday night at a residence on Libby Lane.

Investigators say 49-year-old Angela Byrd was booked with murder in the case. WAPT-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1iyrIv0) bond was denied Wednesday for Byrd.

Officers say the shooting happened after Byrd and Harper quarreled.

It was not immediately clear whether Byrd has an attorney.
