NEW KENT, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in New Kent County that left three dead.

Senior Trooper B.A. Fleenor says a car crashed into a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Route 155 and Kentland Trail at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Two men in the care were pronounced dead at the scene. A third was transported to Richmond for treatment, where he died.

A fourth occupant of the car suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

Fleenor says the vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way to the truck, which was unable to avoid the collision.

The victims’ names have not been released.
