OBERLIN, La. (AP) - A grand jury in Allen Parish has indicted an Oakdale man in the murder of his grandfather, who police say was shot to death while in the shower.

The American Press reports (https://bit.ly/1eOXZNb ) 18-year-old Laken Johnson, of Oakdale, was indicted on charges of second-degree murder, theft of property and obstruction of justice.

Allen Parish District Attorney Todd Nesom says Johnson is accused in the Nov. 4, 2013, shooting death of his grandfather, 64-year-old Norman Ray Johnson, of Oakdale.



He remains in the Allen Parish Jail on a $525,000 bond awaiting trial.

It was unclear whether Laken Johnson has an attorney.
